At the Children and Technology (CHAT) Lab, we study how children think about, learn from, and trust technology — including social robots! Our research is designed to be child-friendly, with fun games and engaging questions that make participating an enjoyable experience for kids and families.
When you sign up to be contacted, there’s no obligation to participate. We’ll reach out when your child is eligible for a study to see if you’re interested. Participation is a great way to get involved in science and learn more about child development — plus, every child receives a small thank-you gift for helping out!

We are curious about how children think about robots after interacting with a robot. Researchers at the CHAT Lab at TN Tech are inviting children and parents to participate in a research study about how kids think about robots. Participation includes:
• A short, child friendly activity
• Answering questions and playing simple games
• Interacting with a robot
• Approximately 15-20 minutes
• A small toy as a thank you gift
Children ages 3- 5 may participate. Parents or legal guardians must provide consent, and children will be asked for their assent before participating.
Located at the CHAT Lab on campus at TN Tech.
